Postcard Workshop
Workshop for Children (4 to 8 years)
The artworks in the exhibition Picturing America reveal personal views of the United States and the people who live there. Like postcards, they capture typical features of a country and its inhabitants. This one-day workshop starts with a guided tour. Based on our impressions, we create postcards that we can send to family and friends.

A Collage of the World
Youth Workshop (9 years and older)
The exhibition Picturing America shows how people in the United States live and work, which cars they drive and what they eat. By using collage techniques, we create our very own images of various places in the world: Berlin, New York, Germany, and the U.S. We glue together what we believe belongs together. What are the defining qualities of a situation, a place, a country? What are the differences between countries and their inhabitants? What are their commonalities? The workshop will explore questions like these. At the end we present our large-format collages in a small exhibition.
