Children, Youth + Family

Dear young art lovers!
Do you sometimes dream of flying, too? Or have you already been in an airplane? We have a real airplane wing in our exhibition hall. What’s it doing here? The artist Roman Ondák explores our perceptions and expectations in funny ways. In our workshops, where we mainly draw, scribble, and paint, we discover what he does with his art.

Flight Dreamers

Workshop for youths 10 and up
In cooperation with Raum 29

In his exhibition do not walk outside this area, Roman Ondák addresses a longing that people of all ages and cultures have had: the desire to fly. Following a walk through the exhibition, various different historical and art historical examples will be presented that explore the human dream of flying. These ideas and inventions serve as a point of departure for participants to exchange their own dreams of flying, make their own sketches and convert these into models.

Traveling with a Flight Recorder

Workshop for families and kids 5 and up

Taking Roman Ondák’s large-scale installation of an airplane wing as their point of departure, kids embark on an imaginary journey during which not only the trip itself is documented, but also the destination.
